We now have immediate openings for Student Services Coordinators at the DAVE School.

As the Student Services Coordinator it is your responsibility to enhance the quality of the learning environment by contributing to the educational experience that increases retention and fosters student success. You will act as the student success coach for on campus and online students.

You are responsible for providing supportive services to students by:
• Managing student resources available off and on campus.
• Coordinating social and recreational activities during the year.
• Supervise student campus organizations and all other academic and non-academic activities.
Education requirements
• Associate's degree required in Business Administration or related areas.
Experience requirements
• 3 years of experience in education is preferred.
• 2+ years of industry work experience directly related to student retention and coaching students both on campus and online.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Facilitate student success by defining, coordinating, and implementing proactive retention strategies that help students stay on track to fulfill their educational goals.
• Plan orientation workshops and other activities for incoming and current students.
• Ensure the campus is in compliance with institution-wide events, required guest speakers, and other activities, including: Constitution Day Activities, Bullying Awareness Activities, Domestic Violence Awareness Activities, Suicide Prevention Activities and other FTCCares program events in the year.
• Provide the necessary resources needed for students, including orientation, advisement, and referrals.
• Develop programs with the campus leadership that meet the advising-related needs of all students.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, submit Tutoring Reports, Student Services Calendar and assessment reports as indicated by the Dean of Academic Affairs and/or the Executive Director.
• Participate in the retention efforts for online students as an Online Student Services Coach.
• Provide leadership that motivates and creates a positive environment within the student body by chairing student clubs, associations, and other extracurricular activities that are regulated by academic, fiscal, and administrative principles and procedures.
• Participate in the planning of the annual graduation ceremony.
• Organize student awards and ceremonies.
• Use the resources available to identify potential dropouts and coach them through their issue.
• Contact students identified as "at risk" and schedule coaching or advising sessions to offer support, information, resources, and referrals.
• Provide timely and consistent follow up through various forms of communication.
• Use the Student Services Ticket System to track student case management and follow up.
• Escalate student concerns and issues appropriately.
• Respond to students within 24 hours.
• Strong computer skills
